Bud of the Week - Chronic

Dr. Dre would be proud... All kidding aside, Chronic has become one of the iconic cannabis strains in the marijuana community.  A 50/50 hybrid with Skunk, Northen Lights and AK-47 ancestry, Chronic is a highly sought-after strain for its great yield and potent medicinal value.
For those interested in growing Chronic, you will be happy to know that with the right growing techniques, this strain has a production ratio of one gram per one watt of light!  Because of its tendency to produce monster top colas, Chronic makes for a great SOG grow.  Flowering stage for Chronic is about two months.
Do you like a more subtle taste in your strain? Chronic may be the bud for you!  With a little patience, one can draw out the wildflower and sweet tones by curing your buds properly.

Medicinal Uses: Chronic Pain, Cancer, Insomnia, Depression, MS, Cachexia, Crohn's Disease, Arthritis

In about a year(yes I know this is far off) I want to start growing. Nothing huge like a grow-op but just maybe a plant or so,just to say I grow my own. I'm starting research on the best methods and seeds to use as well as lighting and such. Any suggestions on a seed? You said Chronic has a production ratio of one gram per one watt of light, and to me that means I can keep it small and simple without drawing attention. Would chronic be a good choice for me? And any other advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

  2. Cannabis needs a lot of lumens... Don't think that a 40 watt bulb will bring you 40 grams... It will bring you a dead plant! Think " 600 grams per square meter from 600 watts". The industry looks at production per area. I didn't mean to confuse anyone and I am glad you asked. I do not want to pour out everything on this post because i need to spread it out from week to week. I will say this: do an online search for "Jorge Cervantes". He is "THE MAN" when it comes to growing cannabis. He has his own website with videos and articles. Awesome resource!
